You could provide the guests with equal numbers of clothespins or stickers to be put onto their shirts. The objective of this game is not to utter the word “baby”. The person who ends up with the most clothespins or stickers on his or her shirt is declared the winner.

One cool game is to guess the size of the mother’s tummy. To play this game, you will need a spool of yarn or strings, colored paper, and other craft materials that can be cut and used to measure, and a scissor. Pass the measurement item that you have chosen and the scissor to each guest. Each of them will be estimating the size of the belly of the mom-to-be by cutting a length of the material. Once the guests have made their own prediction, determine who has made the most accurate guest by wrapping each entry around the tummy of the mother. The person who has the closest length wins.

You can also use cotton balls on baby shower games ideas. To play such game, you will need two medium to large-sized bowls, tablespoon, blindfolds, and a bag of cotton balls. Place the cotton balls and the spoons in one of the bowls. The participants are blindfolded and will use the tablespoons to transfer the cotton balls as much as they can from one bowl to another. They must complete the task within one minute. The participant with the most number of cotton balls transferred is declared the winner.

Bet you don’t know, but the colorful M&M’s can be used in baby shower games ideas. Before the big day, buy a bag of M&M’s and a baby bottle. Fill up the baby bottle with M&M’s until it’s full. Then, pour the M&M’s out of the baby bottle again and count each pieces. Then, again, fill up the bottle with the same number of M&M’s and seal the bottle tightly and write the total number of pieces in a small sheet of paper. During the baby shower, provide the guests with a pen and a piece of paper. Tell them to guess the total number of the M&M’s inside the baby bottle and write their estimate in their paper along with their names. At the end of the event, open up the sealed baby bottle and count the number of M&M’s pieces in front of your guests. Once the actual number of M&M’s was revealed, go through the pile of guesses. The participant or participants who have guessed the right total of the M&M’s win. However, if no one has guessed the exact number of M&M’s in the baby bottle, the participant who has guessed the closest number possible is declared the winner.

Fun Baby Shower Games

A Baby Shower usually lasts from 2-4 hours depending on budget, location, and guest list. Games are a great way to fill up some of that time. They also allow your guests to participate directly at the baby shower.

Baby Shower games are great ice breakers for guests who may not know each other. For a two hour shower you should have about 2-3 games. There are games that can be played by everyone at the same time. These include Baby Gift Bingo or a Baby Scratch Off game. Other games last the entire length of the shower, such as the Pacifier Game.

Baby Gift Bingo

Purchase or create a blank Bingo Board. Many styles and themes are available. Hand one to each guest before the mom to be opens her gifts. Instruct your guests to fill out what they think the mom to be will receive as a gift. As the mom to be opens her gifts, each player will mark off a match on her bingo board. You decide what wins: straight bingo, X, four corners, etc.

Pacifier Game

Give each guest a pacifier necklace when they arrive and explain the rules to them. The rules are: If you say “baby” and someone hears you, that person gets your pacifier necklace. The winner is the person with the most pacifier necklaces at the end of the shower.

Some popular games are word searches, gift bingos, raffle tickets, and even pin the pacifier on the baby! If you are not sure of what your guests will enjoy, why not choose what the mom to be will enjoy! Games can be coordinated with your shower theme. Be creative and have fun!

Ribbon Game

Purchase spools of ribbon or string. They don’t have to be expensive, just make sure you have enough for people who get carried away. Go up to each guest and instruct them to choose a length of ribbon or string that they think will fit perfectly around the mom’s belly. Cut the ribbon and have the guests hold on to them. Once everyone has their ribbon, each guest will wrap their ribbon around the mom’s belly. The guest who was the closest wins the game!!

There may be some mom’s who are sensitive about the size of their belly. Have an alternative game planned in case mom to be isn’t comfortable playing this game.

Baby Food Jar Game

Guess the baby food flavor!! Take 3-5 jars of baby food and mark the bottoms with letters (A, B, C, etc). Make an answer key with the baby food flavor and corresponding letter. Remove the labels and place on a tray. Have your guests label a sheet of paper A-C (or A-E if you have 5). Move the tray from table to table and have guests guess what flavor the baby food is. The person who has all 5 right, or closest, wins.

Who has the dirty diaper?

Create diapers by taking napkins and folding them into diapers. Fold into a triangle, and then bring in the three corners to touch. Secure with double sided tape. Make sure there is room to peak inside the diaper. Decide on the number of winners you want. Take as many diapers and smear a chocolate bar inside to create a “dirty diaper”. Tip: Melt the chocolate in the microwave for 5 seconds to soften. Ask your guests to choose their diapers from a basket or place them under their seats before they arrive. The guests with the dirty diapers win!

Baby Related Items A to Z

Create sheets using a word processor marked A through Z. Pass out the sheets to your guests and tell them they have limited time (3 Minutes) to think of baby related items from A to Z. Everyone will get a kick to hear some things that people come up with!

The Funnest Baby Shower Games

One of the greatest times of life to celebrate is the arrival of a new baby. The gathering of friends and family for a baby shower is a traditional and incredibly fun way to celebrate this momentous occasion. Along with wonderful gifts for mom and baby, yummy cake and treats, playing games is a sure way to bring out giggly fun and enjoyment. The more fun the games, the more memorable the moments to linger.

With several games and ideas available, the options are endless.

Baby Belly Guess:

With the baby belly guessing game, all that is required is a spool of ribbon and a pair of scissors. Each guest must make a guess of the length of ribbon it would take to go completely around the mom-to-be’s baby belly and then cut the ribbon at their guess. Each guest then takes turns wrapping their ribbon around mom’s tummy and the closest guess wins a prize!

Baby Feeding Time:

This is a game sure to bring tons of laughter. Guests at the baby shower pair up. One person is the “baby” while the other is the “mommy”. Baby puts on a bib and mommy spoon feeds a jar of baby food to the baby, using only a baby spoon. First couple that finishes the jar wins! Any spills disqualify the couple. Imagine the memories that can be captured on film with this one!

Baby Born:

This is a fun game that will declare a winner purely by luck. Prior to the baby shower, freeze a small plastic baby in individual ice cube trays – small babies for this can be purchased in cake decorating aisles and/or party stores. As guests arrive place one of the cubes in everyone’s drinks and the guest whose baby is born (breaks free from the ices cube melting) first, wins.

Bottle Drinking Race:

Have a baby bottle for each guest filled with juice, punch, water or any liquid that is non-carbonated. Hand each guest a bottle and give the word to begin drinking. The first person to suck the bottle dry, is the winner! A simple game, yet tons of fun and sure to bring tons of giggles!

Advice in a Box:

Give guests a recipe card and a pen or pencil. Have each one write a bit of “new mommy” advice and then take turns having everyone read their advice aloud. When they are finished, collect each of the recipe cards and place them in a cutely decorated recipe box for mommy’s reference later.

Baby Scramble:

Give each guest a list of scrambled up baby-related words such as bottle, diapers, feedings, rattles, etc. Set an allowed amount of time and once that time is up, the guest with the most correctly unscrambled words is the winner!

Pin the Diaper on the Baby:

A fun twist to the traditional game of Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Hang a large poster sized paper with a drawing of a baby on a wall or door. Give each guest a cut-out diaper and take turns blind-folding each person, give them a spin and see who comes the closet to pinning the diaper correctly on the baby!
